Front cover research

I Researched different magazine covers to give me ideas about the style and features that I could include in my college magazine. The masthead is bold and simple and is postitioned in the top left hand corner which is unique as most magazines have their masthead centred at the top. This encouraged me to put my 'TRC' masthead at the top left hand corner. I like the way the house style is simple, yet eye catching as it uses only a bold red, white and black for the colours and font that is easy to read and stands out, which inspires me to use my house style in a similar way. Also there is a circular shape at the right hand side of the magazine cover advertising 'The 50 best british albums' which draws people in. I will use a circular shape in a similar way for my magazine cover as I think this works well.
